Half-siblings Tuva and Ida were winter diving along a deserted part of the Norwegian coast when a rock slide buried their equipment, car and phone.
The boat was trapped at a depth of 30 meters by a slide, and the air was running out. Ida is pushed to her limits in a desperate struggle to save her.
Breaking Surface is something as rare as a Swedish diving thriller, and some of the underwater footage was shot at Lofoten and Narvik.
Here you get beautiful nature pictures, impressive underwater scenes and claustrophobic fun!
Underwater photographer Frank Bang technically assisted with some of the footage at Lofoten and in Narvik, and two local divers were extras during filming in Narvik harbour.
The film was well received when it was released in theaters in 2020, and today has a score of 6.1 out of 10 on IMDb movie database.
