Dyreliv i Havet was written by marine biologist Frank Emil Moen, while Erling Svensen has taken more than 1,400 underwater photos in books published since 1999.

– The book is 800 pages long, and we have culled species that have not yet been observed along the coast of Norway to make room for more species. Much of the image material has also been updated, says Frank Emil Moen.

Animal life in the sea contains around 900 marine species, and is definitely the largest encyclopedia of its kind in our waters.

Dyreliv i hast 7th edition is 800 pages long and contains a description of approx. 900 marine species and over 1,400 images.

– The images in this book were created over nearly 5,000 dives since the early 90s, says underwater photographer Erling Svensen.
