Løvold now leads what has developed into one of DNB’s most exciting IT, Technology & Services environments in Norway.
– We have many skilled technologists here. This is necessary because we work with a variety of technologies and products. Among other things, we’ve done a lot in lifting services to the cloud. DNB also has a strong professional environment in IT security, and we are on an exciting modernization journey in core banking and payment systems, Løvold said.

Needs more and increased diversity
To capitalize on the opportunities presented by new technologies, DNB needs more technologists in the coming years – including more female technologists.
– We need diversity when developing new services. Otherwise, we will have services that only reach part of the population, he believes.
DNB already has several strong and professionally skilled female technologists. They are good role models for others considering employment or education in technology.
