Criticism of the Subwoolfer stage performance after rehearsal:

Subwoolfer, a Norwegian Eurovision participant dressed as a moon wolf, finished Monday’s first practice at around five-thirty.

When it comes to timing, dance and song, TV 2 pundits have spoken unanimously positively.

When it comes to stage performances, we find a bit more disagreement.

50 percent of the vote

This is the final exam before the jury exams at 9pm tonight, and as such is an important review.

During the jury tests, professional judges from across Europe will evaluate various artists and their performances.

Jury votes count for 50 percent in tomorrow’s semifinals. Audience votes count for the remaining 50 percent.

Slovenian radio presenter Jan Vehar of Radio Robin explained that Subwoolfer has a huge influence in Europe, and has no doubt that the duo will advance to the semifinals.

– Should they change something before the jury trial tonight?

– They shouldn’t change anything. When it’s working as well as it is now, you shouldn’t change anything. One should really welcome change, but not when it works.

Vehar also believes that the Norwegian press team has done a lot of good around the Subwoolfer.

– The subwoolfer is probably the best PR trained number of the year. They have the whole package. They did a lot of unexpected things, but still everything they did matched each other well. Everything makes sense, they have a story and they sing well.

Kasper Christensen works in Denmark DR. He thought Subwoolfer should be happy with the reviews.

– I think it’s absolutely fantastic for Norway. The subwoolfer is also well positioned, as number 16 out of 17 countries. They shouldn’t have changed anything before the jury trial. It’s funny and a little crazy. This is a well-produced party song.

Don’t agree

William Lee Adams from America works for the BBC and also owns the world’s largest independent Eurovision blog; wiwibloggs.com.

He is happy with the Norwegian number:

– It’s a really good song. People forget that it’s a good song, because it’s funny and silly.

Scotland Ewan Spence, radio commentator and writer for ESC Insights, be counter to positive feedback. Because even though he thought the song and dance were good, he thought something was missing:

– They need more sand on the stage, so it looks like the moon. They represent the moon! OK, they’re wearing Norwegian hats, but it looks like they forgot where they came from!? They seem to have forgotten that they have learned what they know about music on the moon. I need sand, rocks or moon dust on the stage.

Not surprised

Morten Westgaard, reporter at Eurovision Norwaybelieve the first test is perfect.

– Today I feel everyone sitting down. Camera angles, vocals and stage performances. The yellow wolf gave everything, even on the first try. Let’s hope they have one more piece of gear and convince the jury tonight, he told TV 2, and continued:

– A good review before the judges show can give a good feeling. This can be the key between holding your head up and great confidence, or a tail between your legs during a jury show. I thought the yellow wolf tail was everywhere but between the legs now!

Westgaard believes the wolves should not think about feedback from Scotland.

– I feel the foreign feeling I’m getting right now is perfect. We might have had the impression of a larger space if the “sun” in the background worked optimally, but I’m proud to be Norwegian when “yum yum” overwhelms many hall ears.

The “sun” is an LED element on the stage that was not created by the organizers. All countries have projected with the “sun”, which has created problems for some countries.
