Amazing program full of great bands, entertainment, weather to match. This is how people assess this year’s Havířovské celebrations. The high attendance was already visible on Friday, for example Rybičky 48, O5 and Radeček or Wohnouti appeared on stage. On Saturday, the great show Queenie kicked off the program. But this year, the celebrations were also enjoyed by the kids, who had the entire entertainment zone to themselves.
poll, visitors: “I really like that idea. They can go crazy here. It’s better than standing somewhere in the sun. They have thought it through well. There are prize competitions, or you can also make bracelets here. This is very nice.”
poll, visitors: “The best thing here is probably the toy car. I recommend it the most and just sitting on a blanket and watching the stage. That’s probably the best thing. Then I got a tattoo.”
poll, visitors: “The zone is perfect, we were here yesterday too. I’m here with my granddaughter and daughter-in-law. They try everything. We tried face painting, games and visiting parrots. We were a little scared, but it was good.”
Michal Nesvadba, actor: “I played here for the kids and it was a big surprise because it wasn’t just the kids there, but also the adults I grew up with, and it’s changed so much now, and it touches my heart.”
The fun also includes delicious food, which is in short supply at the celebration. How’s the deal going, what do people like, are they hungry?
poll, seller: Absolutely everything. Maybe mostly potato pancakes and gnocchi. Very nice here. We really enjoyed this event.”
poll, visitors: “I crave my boyfriend every day, but now I crave gnocchi and sausages. I’ll eat both. Great today. It’s my first time here and it’s really amazing.”
poll, visitors: “I wanted to eat potato chips and we were here for ice cream. We came all the way from Prague, we had a lot of fun here and I was surprised by Mr Korn, how he was and how he was still able to survive. Perfect.”
The visitors were also welcomed by Mayor Havířov together with the region’s governor.
Josef Bělica (YES), mayor of Havířov: “So far, the celebrations are going perfectly, here on the Kristýnka stage, it is a treat for us. The celebration was great, there were a lot of people. The atmosphere is great. People are having fun, the weather is nice. So, what more could you want. I especially welcome Havířováky, I also welcome people across countries. Enjoy Havířov and the best city festivals in the republic. That’s for you.”
Jana Feberová (SOCDEM), Deputy Mayor: “I am happy for our organizers, for our MKS, for the director and his entire team who have been planning this for a long time. Even ordinary people can’t imagine how much energy and strength they have to expend, and for that I thank them.” What’s in your heart this year? ‘My heart is singing right now, and it’s Peter Nagy.’
Peter Nagy, singer: “It is widely known that Czech and Slovak musicians tell each other that the audience in North Moravia is amazing. So we tried our best and the support was great. The memories will emerge. For one’s first love, a vacation somewhere by the lake, by the sea. It does not matter. And that’s what it’s all about, that musical nostalgia. That’s the beautiful energy and especially the music of our generation which is always positive. We never doubt, negative. All his songs, whether it’s our late friend Vašo Patejdl, Elán, Žbirka, etc. Everyone from my generation has always been positive and it shows.”
poll, visitors: “Of course, I remember, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I enjoy it here and I think people enjoy it too. It’s a great satisfaction for me.”
poll, visitors: “Very good, our younger generation.”
poll, visitors: “Great, we were there yesterday, we are here today and I hope we will come next year too.”
poll, visitors: “Satisfaction, no doubt, what more could we ask for. Beautiful music, beautiful surroundings.”
poll, visitors: “Amazing choice.” Are memories of your youth coming back? “Too many.”
poll, visitors: “I’m here for the first time and I’m surprised that the city of Havířov can organize it and it’s really fun here.”
poll, visitors: “I love Lucie Bílá and I’m looking forward to it. I’m probably looking forward to it the most. It’s my heart.”
Great entertainment was provided throughout the afternoon by Leoš Mareš as moderator, who also hosted his DJ Show.
Leoš Mareš, moderator: “I don’t remember the last time I was here. Now the organizers tell me that twenty years ago I arrived here by helicopter. I barely remember it anymore, and I would like to say that in those twenty years I have grown up and finally arrived normally by train. It was youthful recklessness, I was rushing from Šumava at that time, if I recall. Well, people here? I’m barely used to being a moderator anymore. I’m just showing up. I just put on a sequined jacket and I’m going to perform too, but it’s so fun to hang out with those people. I’ve been doing it my whole life and there’s an amazing group of guests here, so it’s fun. The weather is beautiful, so the Havířovské celebration is the best event of the year for me.”
The evening event was kicked off by Jiří Macháček and his band Mig 21. As usual, the evening belonged to the fans of hard rock music at Havířovské slavnost. The legendary German group ACCEPT appeared first on stage, and after midnight came the peak of the celebration with the Finnish metal band Lordi.
