And in the afternoon, enjoy a cappuccino. And he is never alone. When there are no relatives around, his two beloved cats are with him.
Jadwiga, despite his old age, still has very good eyesight and reads a lot of newspapers and books. He is an avid reader of Super Week. He was very active throughout his life. He is still very interested in what is happening in the country and in the world. He watches news and movies. He has so many memories and experiences that he can talk about for hours…

Mrs Jadwiga Zawiślak née Michalczuk was born on 17 July 1923 in Chełm, in the house where she lives to this day and where her children were also born. Father Michał was a member of the Piłsudski, he spent four years in captivity during World War I. Then he returned to Chełm, where he worked for many years as a taxi driver. She drives carriage number 3. Mother Katarzyna is a housewife and also provides sewing services. It was from him that Jadwiga inherited his talent for sewing.
He started his education at elementary school. st. Konarski in Chełm (located at a post-abortive college), then he attended an economics school. Since the war broke out, he has not finished it. At the age of 18, she married Mieczysław Pasierbski, a naval soldier. During the war, she gave birth to two daughters: Halina and Elżbieta. Her husband died on April 16, 1945 while crossing the Oder River. He was a platoon leader. After the war, because of her husband’s way of life, Jadwiga was involved in the activities of the War Disabled Association. He participated in the creation of the Association’s general store on ul. Lublin. He was also one of the founders of the War Disabled Cooperative (1949), and later the Sheltered Employment Institution. She completed sewing courses, and then earned a master’s diploma. For many years he ran a tailor’s shop and was a co-op administrator. Meanwhile, she married a second time, to Stanisław Zawiślak. She gave birth to a daughter, Bożena.
He is involved in social life. On behalf of the Democratic Party, he was a member of the City Council for several terms, he also served as a trial judge. He retired in 1984 after 35 years of service.
Even in the 1940s, he was also involved in the life of his parish – St. He took part in the work of the choir led by J. Kaczorek at that time, then for many years was active in the parish choir at the church of St. Peter. Message apostle. He sang 50 years of his life in the parish choir.
Jadwiga has three daughters, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He is looking forward to the birth of his next great-grandson, due in October.
On her birthday, Mrs. Jadwiga received m. letter from the prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki and president of Chełm Jakub Banaszek.
