PRESS RELEASE: 70 of Norway’s top soccer girls take part this week at the Equinor Talent Camp in Porsgrunn. Among them is SIL’s Maja Tomine Theting, who may be eligible for internationals in the future.
Maja Tomine Theting (14) is one of the lucky ones selected in this year’s Equinor Talent Camp. It means a lot to him.
– That means everything. “I’ve dreamed about it since I was little and I hope to learn a lot so that I can become a better footballer,” said Theting.

Dreams of playing for the national team
The defender showed talent early on, and has been thinking about what he would most like to focus on during the talent camp.
– I will focus more on passing and touching, said Theting.
Theting has established himself as a player with speed in his feet and speed in his head. This will come in handy on the way to the dream of playing for the national team.
– I want to be as good as possible. I want to play in the national team and play abroad. I just want to be able to make a living from football, he said in a message from the organisers.
Like Haaland
Equinor has collaborated with the Football Association of Norway for more than 20 years, an important arena for the training and development of many of Norway’s and the world’s most important football players, including this year’s winner and top scorer in the Champions League, Erling Braut Haaland.
– With the Tomorrow’s Heroes talent development program, we want to contribute to building talent that will lead Norway into the future. Talent camps are important arenas where young footballers can test and show off their skills on the pitch. Becoming a skilled footballer requires tremendous effort and dedication, which has been well demonstrated by this year’s participants. “We are proud to support Maja’s journey to the top of football,” said Thea Moen, sponsorship manager at Equinor.
