FORNEBU (Dagbladet): The H3 Arena outside Oslo is decorated for the party, as the 2022 year of music will be celebrated during this year’s Spellemann. Finally, artists, producers and creators who excelled last year will be awarded. In addition, it is the 50th anniversary of the music festival.
Spellemann is considered one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in Norway, and a total of 28 awards will be handed out during the evening.

– Wow. I want to thank Underground. We were 14 years old when we decided to become rappers, and now we are in Spellemann. I think 14 year old Undergrunn would be very proud to see us here tonight. I know that because I prepared this speech when I was 14 years old, Jon Ranes said from the stage.

Carp
– It’s too sickening, says Magdi, about their fourth prize tonight.

Embla and the Karidotters
Release this year:
Carp broke a record when they took prize number five.
Player of the Year:
It’s Karpe night at the H3 Arena. There will be six awards and a new record when they win best of all, namely Player of the Year.
The credit goes to Marie Ulven, better known as The Girl in the Red Dress.
– OK, I didn’t know this was possible, said Magdi, and continued:
– I don’t even know where to start. In the last ten years, many films have been made and many books have been written about the Second World War, because it was the last opportunity to speak with those who really were and experienced it in Norway. What we realized in this project is that this is the last opportunity to tell the story of the first people who came to Norway.
– I want to thank Magdi. For a kidless guy like me, it’s really special playing in a band that gets new equipment for every kid it has – and now you’re in fourth gear, and there will probably be fifth and sixth gear too. I really appreciate it, because I only wanted one thing and that was to make music and rap, and now my voice is shaking. See you later, Chirag says through tears.
Karpe told Dagbladet that they did not expect to win six awards tonight.
– Player of the Year again – how do you receive the award?
– I didn’t know it was possible, we got it more than ten years ago. So totally crazy, says Magdi.
– When we were growing up, Rockefeller was the “ceiling” – no rapper could fill a concert hall bigger than that, he elaborated further and added:
– So hard to expect. Every year is a bonus, so it’s quite a bit.
– What’s going on in their heads now?
– I wish there was more I could say, says Chirag while Magdi interjects that everything feels like a “fog”.
