The athletic profile reports failures to the EC team
Line Kloster and many other athletic profiles are still not part of Norway’s squad for the European Team Championship in Poland next weekend.
This can be seen from the updated statement on the Norwegian Athletic Federation website, Monday.
Line Kloster was registered as a Norwegian participant in the 400 meter hurdles as well as the 4 x 100 meter and 4 x 400 meter relays when the athletics association presented EC selections last Friday.
Now he has been replaced by the all-around Andrea Rooth in the previous range. Rooth will also take part in the 100 meter hurdles and is relevant for the long relay in Poland. In the final distance, Josefine Tomine Eriksen was selected as the new Norwegian runner.
Amalie Sæten also won’t start in Poland. She was supposed to run the 1500 metres, but was replaced by Kristine Eikrem Engeset, who had previously been named as Norway’s shortlist for the women’s 5000 metres.
On the men’s side, there have also been changes in the Norwegian squad. Bastian Elnan Aurstad, who impressed in the 200 meters during the Bislett Games, should have run in the 400 meters hurdles. He’s instead participating in a convention in Mannheim, Germany next weekend. No new Norwegian runners for the European Championships have been selected at this time.
Due to the team championship, Tobias Grønstad also reports. He was replaced by Esten Hansen-Møllerud Hauen in the 800 meters in Krakow.
For relays over 4 x 100 meters, Even Meinseth and Per Tinius Fremstad-Waldron have been cancelled. (NTB)
