Local TJ Sokol has joined the regional collection, which will run until March 4. The collected materials will then be carried by firefighters and hawks to a distribution center in Pardubice, from where aid will be distributed to those in need.
The Regional Association of the Czech Red Cross in stí nad Orlicí, based on Kopeckého Street, also takes part in the national collection. The collection prefers medical supplies and personal hygiene needs through March 6.

High Toll has created a collection point for Ukraine

The city of Vysoké Mýto, in coordination with the Pardubice Region, has set up a humanitarian aid collection point for Ukraine on the ground floor of the town hall at 179. Jiráskova Street. Currently, sleeping bags, mats, mattresses, blankets, warm winter clothes, cleaning supplies, perishable and canned food, as well as over-the-counter medicines and sanitary napkins and binders are needed in Ukraine. Donated materials will be transported by Vysoké Mýto volunteer firefighters to the regional humanitarian aid warehouse set up by the Pardubice Region in eská Třebová. From there, aid will be channeled to Ukraine.
Art school exhibits student work in the library

After two years, students from the Jaroslav Kocian Art Primary School returned to the City Library of stí nad Orlicí. The work was the most successful cross-section of this year and last school year. In the lobby, visitors can see inanimate objects which are the center of creation. The youngest children make models of products from ceramic clay according to their own imagination. Older students in painting and drawing seek realistic concepts, depth of space and interrelationships. The exhibition also presents open-ended images. Students always come to the beginning of the school year to be creative, whether drawing, photographing, or making collections. This time the theme is city corners, famous buildings and statues. In collaboration with the city government, the city calendar for 2022 is then created from these works, you can visit the exhibition during the city’s normal operating hours until April 30.

The City of Choceň, in collaboration with the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, invites you to an exhibition of student work on the topic New Funeral Hall in Choceň? This is a location that offers a wide range of future transformation options. The construction of a city shortcut will open up the possibility to modify Pardubicá Street into a waterfront character of the city filled with interesting historical buildings (chateau, orange, fig tree). Proposals from students of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU in Prague offer inspiring and varied views of the area and access to create a dignified farewell place that provides comfort and hope. The opening took place on Wednesday, March 2, at the Orlick Museum. The exhibition runs until March 27.

Anyone who wants to donate something to the Ukrainian people has the opportunity to hand it over at the library on Pernštýn Square in Pardubice. The materials will then be handed over to a central warehouse set up by the Prague Territory, which will ensure distribution and delivery to those in need. Holice is hosting a Saturday collection

In collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Service and the Pardubice Region, Holice organizes the following collection of supplies for Ukraine: over-the-counter medicines, dressing and repairing materials, warm winter clothes, hygiene supplies, perishable food, canned food.
For the pre-war needs of refugees currently and will be accommodated in Holice and its surroundings, it is also possible to donate: perishable food (pasta, flour, rice, canned food, buckwheat, potatoes, onions, oil, salt, sugar, milk) and drugstores (cleaning kit and bigger bag). It is possible to donate common household appliances (eg beds, washing machines, tables, chairs, kitchen utensils, etc.), but it is always necessary to consult in advance via email vyborny@mestoholice.cz.
In-kind donations will be collected on Saturday, March 5, from 10:00 to 16:00 at the building of the former banka Komerční in the square.

The Czech Red Cross Regional Association in Chrudim has announced a collection of materials for Ukraine. The collection point is at Městsk park 274, until March 6, on weekdays from 15:00 to 19:00 and on weekends from 08:00 to 19:00. Medical supplies and hygiene kits are urgently needed.
