That's what Peder Songedal from Notodden and Sture H. Vareide from Høydalsmo say. Together, they have created a simple online course that will teach people how to take great photos.

where they offer online courses that will make people better photographers. According to both, this is a new and unique concept in the Norwegian context.

– It all comes down to your ability to learn how to take good photos at home, in your own living room, when you have the time. The goal is to give people simple photography tips, so they learn how to take good pictures, said Peder Songedal.

– Not much is needed

– If you live in a big city, taking a course is easy, but many people live in rural areas and the offers are not always good. You don't need a lot of knowledge to produce much better images, says Sture H. Vareide.

It is the knowledge of photography in particular that Peder Songedal wants to convey, since he took photography as an elective subject when he was still a student at Notodden secondary school.

– Many people buy SLR cameras when they are young, and take photos without producing good images. Instead, take the time to learn the art of photography. Then you'll get more enjoyment out of the photography itself, in addition to being able to proudly show off great photos to family and friends, says Songedal.

Winner prize

Peder Songedal and Sture H. Vareide both have extensive experience in photography. Songedal has won several national and international awards for his images and has a background as a photographer with a bachelor's degree in advertising photography.

Vareide works as a media communications teacher at a high school. Additionally, he has extensive experience as a freelance press photographer and video production.
