Storting politician Irene Ojala of Patient Focus criticized Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen, leader of the far-right Alliansen party.

PatientFocus List successfully achieved Storting in Storting election. Now a controversial right-wing radical group is trying to undermine their good name and reputation.

If you take a look at the Norwegian Electoral Directorate’s overview of which lists are running in local elections this fall, it appears at first glance that Patient Focus, and their parliamentary representative Irene Ojala, are running in Finnmark.

But Ojala and Patient Focus have nothing to do with them. Behind him is the controversial right-wing radical Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen.

He is the leader of the group “Aliansen”, and is listed as the second candidate for Patient Focus, in the list he submitted.

This is a VG collaboration newspaper Altaposten who first mentioned this issue.

The previous Nyheter filter revealed how Alliance leaders connect teenagers and men in their 20s to established neo-Nazis, and have connections to extreme environments.

Johansen is known for racist, anti-Semitic, and ideologically racist statements, such as, among others Filter News has been thoroughly documented. Among other things, Johansen has made several statements praising far-right terrorists and their manifestos:

“A lot of what Breivik said in his manifesto is true, we haven’t had a proper debate on that, we haven’t had a proper resolution on that,”

And:

“ABB is getting right every year when it comes to Islam”

Lysglimt Johansen told VG that he distanced himself from the actions of Anders Behring Breivik, but insisted that “a lot of what he said is true”.

– There are some unfortunate extreme formulations. It can happen to anyone.

– NO. Not everyone praises Anders Behring Breivik.

– I do not agree that this is a laudatory mention, but two undisputed factual pieces of information. People have to put up with it.

Ojala took a firm distance from Alliansen and Johansen.

– They’ve stolen our names. This is egregious abuse of Patient Focus, me and my name. I am far from them politically. I don’t want to have a reputation as a right-wing radical.

He said he had received several written and verbal questions from people which he did not want to do, after the list was published on the Norwegian Electoral Directorate website.

– I’ve received several requests from far-right radicals, who have thanked me for highlighting Lysglimt Johansen. This may seem like an outward impression now. I can’t live with it, so I have reported it to the police.

He hopes the Norwegian Electoral Directorate clears things up and Johansen is denied running for election under the name Patient Focus.

– This man has the gift of courage. I want nothing to do with him, he said, firmly.

He hoped that the Norwegian Electoral Directorate or the regional council would intervene and prevent Johansen from running in the election under the name Patient Focus.

Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen told VG that he took the police report very calmly. He has no intention of withdrawing the list despite Patient Focus and Ojala’s frustration.

– They have decided not to send the list, but I have changed my mind and think they should if they change their mind too.

– Why don’t you listen to Ojala’s very clear feedback that he wants nothing to do with you and you?

– That’s the kind of love we offer. It has to come out into the world with some power. People don’t even realize they need it.

– We have words that describe actions in which a person imposes their love on another person against their will and consent.

– Yes, you can say so, but in this I did nothing wrong. The only downside for him is him becoming related to me. And his impression of me was created by the media which had painted me as a bad boy.

Even if Johansen has no intention of withdrawing from the list, it is not certain that he will be able to run for Finnmark for Patient Focus.

Regional electoral bodies are responsible for conducting elections in their respective regions. at Finnmark will process whether or not the list meets the legal requirements to run for office. Among other things, the Election Law states that a candidate may not be on different lists for the same election.

The Alliance has also submitted its own list for election in Finnmark, with Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen at the top. By law, he could not run for either list. If you do not notify the electoral authority which party you represent, you will be listed on the first submitted list.

Asbjørn Krantz is a lawyer and works as a case manager for the county election board. He was familiar with this matter.

– This is an unusual case. One should not simply hand over lists to other parties, and put people up for election without approval. There appeared to be an abuse of the scheme, Krantz said, but added that there was no conclusion on the matter, and it was the regional election board that had the authority to make decisions on the matter.

He said that after Easter there would be an assessment of whether to hold an extraordinary meeting of the regional election board to possibly reject the list, if that were the result.

– We must ensure that everyone who is running for office follows the legal requirements. Including those running for office in Finnmark living in Finnmark. And as far as I know, Lysglimt Johansen lives in Oslo, so already there the conditions are not met.
