Erling Braut Haaland – Caused a stir in the stands

The injury that kept him out of Norway’s internationals against Spain and Georgia was so serious that Erling Braut Haaland was left out of the Manchester City squad that beat Liverpool 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

TV cameras caught Haaland watching the game from the stands along with his friends and Ivar Eggja, who was part of the team around Haaland. Behind Haaland hangs an old Manchester City kit bearing his father’s number Alfie.

Confirmation: Under investigation



It was 1-1 at half-time in a big game, but after the break Manchester City exploded. Haaland did the same in the stands.

The pictures show the Norwegian celebrating wildly with his gang in the stands.

Photos shared on social media of footage taken from the stands also show Haaland and company taking part in the usual “Poznan” celebrations for Manchester City fans.

The celebration was adopted from the fans of the Polish club Lech Poznan, where the fans turned their backs to the pitch while cheering, cheering and hugging each other.

TikTok user Copa90 is the one who shared these videos and images.

Causing a stir in the stands

British tabloid newspaper Daily mail have seen this.

– Injured Manchester City star Haaland performed the iconic Poznan dance from the stands while celebrating Liverpool’s overtaking, the paper says.

They have also shown that he has quickly adapted to the fan culture at Manchester City, since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

This isn’t the first time Haaland has come under fire for his creative celebration.

After scoring his first Champions League hat-trick for Red Bull Salzburg against Genk in 2019, he stood above the billboard and spread his arms.

He also celebrated it several times by sitting cross-legged and meditating. He did just that in the Champions League against PSG in 2020 for Borussia Dortmund. So provoking it, the PSG players chose revenge by holding a similar celebration.
