Foreign trade with zbom only in 2021

Imports of goods were 7.5% lower than the Czech Republic which reached 331.6 billion kroner. Imports increased 6.9% to 349.8 billion kroner, 18.2 billion kroon. Meanwhile, its balance sheet worsened by 49.4 billion. For five months after the advertisement, the balance sheet experienced a deficit, which was the longest series of deficits since 2010.

The biggest decline in exports in January was a decline in the value of motor vehicle imports of 31.3%. The Czech Republic's relatively high base also had a negative impact. At the end of the year, they concentrated on exporters' efforts to catch up on spring losses. Likewise with the value of imports of other important goods such as sweat, electronic and optical equipment (-13.8%), machinery and equipment (-9.5%), electrical equipment (-2.9%) or textile and plastic products (-9.2%). ). Imports of long metal products are very small (1.9%). Continued strong growth in exports of chemicals and their processing products (18.3%), basic metals (27.7%) and a more than two-fold increase in the value of imports of electronic goods were mainly due to increases in the prices of these goods.

The increase in the value of oil and gas imports by 232.3% contributed to the overall increase in imports. The value of imports of coke and processed petroleum products doubled, imports of basic metals increased by 40.9%, likewise in previous months, the value of imports of chemicals and their processing increased sharply (9.6%). Imports of electrical equipment grew slightly (2.2%) and imports of sweat, electrical and optical instruments stagnated (0.3%). Motor vehicle imports fell (-32.7%) and there was a sharp decline in rubber and plastic products (-7.7%).

Oil and natural gas trade made the largest contribution to the drastic increase in the deficit, the deficit deepened by 19.8 billion kroons. Trade balance of motor vehicles (-13.8 billion kroons), metals, electronic and optical instruments (-5.7 billion), basic metals (-5.3 billion) and machinery and equipment (-3.2 billion). In the direction of improving the balance, the largest contributors were trade surpluses in electronics, gas and wood (+5.2 billion kroons), waste-related products (+1.1 billion) and a slight deficit in pharmaceutical products and medicines (+1.3 billion).

Cumulatively in January alone, the foreign trade surplus reached 10.1 billion kroons, which is an increase of 121.9 billion kroons (for the same period in 2019, the balance reached a surplus of 141.7 billion kroons). Import value increased by 14.0% and imports by 19.2%.
