Nadal’s return
Rafael Nadal has confirmed that despite his recent health issues, he will take part in the Grand Slam tournament starting on Sunday French Open. The Spaniard, who has triumphed in Paris 13 times, announced his decision on social media.

The 13-time winner of the Grand Slam competition in the French capital admits daily training is a big challenge for him. The 35-year-old added that he will go to the tournament with a doctor who will help him deal with pain in his leg from the match against Denis Shapovalov at a tournament in Rome last week.

The French Open tournament is played on clay, a favorite of the Spaniard, who is dubbed the “King of Paris”.
Despite experiencing many health problems, Nadal managed to win the Australian Open in Melbourne in February. This left him with a lot to miss in 2021, when he left through injuries to, among others, Wimbledon, the Olympics and the US Open.
