– This is pure sabotage – NRK Sport – Sports news, results and broadcast schedules

For the first time since 2011, Norway played the final at the J19-EC for women on Saturday. At that time, Ada Hegerberg and his friends lost 1-8 to Germany, but this year’s edition of the national team showed from the start that they had no plans to spoil.

Thea Kyvåg took advantage of Spain’s defensive blunders and Iris Omarsdottir easily gave the Norwegian women’s team the lead.

– This is the beginning of a dream for Norway. This is counter play at the highest level, commented Andreas Stabrun Smith.

– Norway leads the EC final, oioioi, exclaimed the NRK commentator, a little confused.

But after that, luck turned for Norwegian girls. After a game too short by Norwegian goalkeeper Selma Panengstuen and a slightly too short leg by Maria Fink, the Spaniards equalized.

– It seems a bit unnecessary, commented Stabrun Smith.

And moments later, the supporters in Ostrava thought that Spain had turned things around. After quite a mess after a corner kick, the ball suddenly went into the net. But the linesman waved his flag and the goal was disallowed for offside.

– I think Norway was a bit lucky there, said the NRK commentator.

But luck again turned for Norway in the second half. Kyvåg played beautifully through the back of the Spanish defence. His first shot was saved, but Lightning Wing got another chance on his return. The ball bounced slightly and Kyvåg should have only controlled the ball in the open goal, but his finish went wide at the post.

– We have it for you Thea Kyvg after a fantastic championship, exclaimed Stabrun Smith.

– This is pure sabotage

A few minutes later, Norway again stormed towards the goal with a three-to-two advantage. However, Spain’s Silvia Lloris made a tough tackle on Omarsdottir when the striker was about to play for Ina Birkelund, who was alone with the goalkeeper.

– This is pure sabotage. That’s ugly, exclaimed Stabrun Smith.

Lloris was shown a yellow card by referee Alina Pesu, who the NRK commentator said was too kind.

– It’s a yellow card at least. Excuse me.

After the match, Norway captain Julie Jorde agreed with the NRK commentator and was not happy with the referee.

– Aren’t you happy with the referee?

– In that situation, yes. I also think there are a few other things outside of the game too. I wish we had good referees with us in EC, but everyone can make mistakes, the captain told NRK and followed up:

– It’s also not something we can think of right now, but it would be a great opportunity if Iris came.

– Crazy

And the bad luck will only continue. Norway held off the Spanish pressure until extra time, but with just a minute remaining, Spain scored through Julia Bartel and Norway lost EC gold by the smallest margin possible.

– First of all, this is crazy. We stood really tight and fought everything they did the whole game, and then they got it at the end. “Of course we are a group of depression sitting here in the Czech Republic right now, but we also have to be proud of what we have done,” said Jorde.

For Thea Kyvåg, the loss was even more bitter because she felt guilty after the big explosion.

– I’m a little lost for words now. We were very close and we had more chances. I have a huge opportunity in my head right now, Kyvg told NRK.
