Trzaskowski insults patriots again! He demands resignation for the PW march

The “patriotic” language of the Civic Platform survives only from one speech by Donald Tusk. During the march on June 4, he packed his speech with concepts he doesn’t use every day. It was about the motherland, sacrifice, giving your life for Poland, about the patriotic heart. And there it is. Both he and his formation returned to everyday life very quickly. Once again, the message that has been dropped for years, carefully crafted by the “Gazeta Wyborcza”, that “patriotism is like racism” can be heard again. Rafał Trzaskowski sealed it with his today’s request, in which he insulted the thousands of Poles who honored the Warsaw Uprising.

Clock “W” once again stopped Warsaw. Yesterday, crowds of people with white and red flags paid tribute to the defenders of the capital, who sacrificed everything to start the rebellion for independence on August 1, 1944, by waging a bloody fight against the German occupiers. Rafał Trzaskowski again disapproved of the Warsaw Uprising March. On top of that, he cursed everyone who respected the Heroes.

I call for the resignation of all those ministers, such as Dekora, Kaleta, Kowalski, who took part in the nationalist march yesterday, shouting nationalist slogans. Attention, we must not confuse patriotism with nationalism. That’s why these days are so important, because the rebels tell us about it all the time, they testify about it

– said Trzaskowski at a press conference today.

Somehow, it’s hard to find his equally emphatic reaction to the embarrassing incident that occurred on the Vistula River at “W” hour. The socialist international was launched aboard the Warsaw Tourist Line. The tourist ferry Słonka, on which the Warsaw flag flies, has the rebel banner on its side, embarrassing the memory of the rebels. We remember what the attitude of the Soviets was towards them. Pretending to help, they waited across the Vistula until the defenders of Warsaw bled to death. This is perfectly illustrated by the rebellious song “AK boys”:

And there in Praga the Russians stood / And there were a lot of them / They deceived us in the Russian way / Such was the fate of the son from aka.

Is city hall responding? Only after many appeals and only superficially. The spokeswoman for the capital city hall, Monika Beuth, when questioned by the media, stated only that she was shocked and appalled, and that the Public Transport Authority, which operates the Warsaw tourist route on behalf of a private company, will lodge a complaint with the owner of this ship. Distant consequences will be drawn, it is also possible to terminate the contract. Is this a sufficient response? In the face of the Warsaw Uprising March, the resolve of not only the town hall officials, but also Rafał Trzaskowski himself was much more committed and resolute.

Just before the start of the celebrations for the 79th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, Trzaskowski and Tusk declared: “all of us, without exception, pay tribute to the heroes of the Uprising.” As usual, it ends with a declaration. A moment later, Trzaskowski insulted all the patriots who had come to pay their respects to the defenders of Warsaw in a joint march. Therefore, the decision of Minister Piotr Gliński, who yesterday appointed a plenipotentiary for next year’s celebration of the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, is not surprising. Trzaskowski’s anger was understandable too, as he tried to adjust the celebrations, politicize them, and decide who should pay tribute to the rebels and who, in his opinion, was simply a contemptuous nationalist. Progressive segregation.

Further patriotic ceremonies, marches and gatherings may be prohibited. You can use a medium that will write as efficiently as Paweł Wroński in “Wyborcza” that “patriotism is like racism” and “there is no moral justification”. You can rename the concept and stick white and red hearts on top of each other. However, all this is verified by certain events. The sea of people during yesterday’s celebrations – in March, in front of the Rebel Monument, at night singing (not)forbidden songs – showed clearly who they were: how much Poland meant to them, the heroes of World War II and the message that the the rebels leave us with bloodshed… Formatting asymptomatic patriotism, the axis of which is unreflective cosmopolitanism, has been going on for years. But despite the persistent efforts of various Western institutions, it still could not end successfully in Poland. Loyalty to national heritage is still stronger on the Vistula.
