Bad news for Ukraine. Putin spoke about the further development of the war

The war in Ukraine has been going on for almost a year and the end is still in sight. Russian President Vladimir Putin is now hinting at further developments in the war while talking to soldiers. But Ukrainians and the rest of the world were not happy with his words.

In February, it will be the year since Russian troops invaded Ukraine. While most world leaders wish for world peace ahead of the New Year, Vladimir Putin speaks differently. In footage released by the Kremlin, Putin can be seen talking to Russian soldiers about further developments in the war.

It was clear from the president’s speech that he did not appear to have plans for peace talks, the paper reported The New York Times. “We cannot give up. We just have to fight, keep going,” Putin urged Russian soldiers. “There is still much to be done,” the Russian leader added.

Putin thus no longer tries to pretend that war is a protracted affair, even in front of Russian citizens. At the same time, he originally claimed that it would be finished in three days. “He lacks ease, let alone optimism,” Russian political scientist Tatyana Stanovaya described the president’s behavior to the newspaper. “You feel a certain anxiety from him, the desire to throw all possible forces to achieve his goal,” he added.

New year and new failures

2023 has been rough for Putin and his military so far. At the beginning of the year, a big problem had to be extinguished, namely the death of a large number of soldiers. Ukraine attacked Russian soldiers who appeared to be making mass calls to their loved ones for the New Year with American HIMARS rocket launchers one minute after midnight on New Year’s Eve. Thanks to this, Ukraine found and killed them. According to Kyiv, 400 Russian soldiers were killed and 300 injured in the attack, but Moscow initially acknowledged only 63 killed, but has now increased the number to 89, which is highly unusual as the Kremlin does not confirm any casualties on the battlefield. At the same time, Russia accused its soldiers of blaming themselves for the deaths. Cellphones are prohibited.

How the war will eventually develop is in the stars. Therefore, the editors of TN.cz have compiled Putin’s horoscope. You can read about it in this article.

At the end of the year, Putin called Chinese President Xi Jinping. See what they agreed on:
