The initiative was officially launched in 2000 and currently involves 13,000 companies and other stakeholders in more than 170 countries. Participants are held accountable through regular reporting and encouraged to drive change through innovative solutions and partnerships.

Sustainability as a priority

Cargo Partners is a pioneer in implementing environmentally friendly alternatives and sets ambitious emissions targets to minimize its carbon footprint. Opened in 2018 and built using award-winning wooden architecture, the cargo partner’s iLogistics Center near Vienna Airport is an example of the company’s commitment to sustainability. The increasing number of photovoltaic installations at cargo partner locations around the world is also contributing to logistics providers’ efforts to use renewable energy sources. In addition, the company actively supports the development of fuel-efficient aircraft, electric trucks and many other projects aimed at supporting the transition to sustainable transportation and logistics technologies worldwide.

Standard processes, streamlining collaboration

cargo partners hold ISO 14001 certificates in several countries, reflecting high standards in environmental management, while various digitalization initiatives have resulted in significant reductions in resource consumption. The company’s strict quality assurance process ensures cooperation only with operators that meet the highest standards in the field of ecological transport technology. Additionally, the cargo partner actively assists its clients in monitoring and reducing their carbon footprint, supporting them in achieving their sustainability goals.

“The global climate crisis is one of the most important challenges of our time and our commitment to sustainability remains steadfast. We will continue to minimize our impact on the environment and support all stakeholders in making their operations more sustainable. “Together, we are building a better world for current and future generations,” added Stefan Krauter.
