Johannes Høsflot Klæbo drops Uno-X logo – NRK Sport – Sports news, results and broadcast schedule

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo has decided to remove the Uno-X logo on the national team uniforms, and approved the agreement presented by the head of cross-country skiing to Daily newspaper at the beginning of the week.

NRK was present when Espen Bjervig and cross country committee chairman Torbjørn Skogstad read a press release from Team Klæbo.

Bjervig stated that they had been in contact with Klæbo throughout the day. They have been working towards a long-term solution, but for Klæbo and co. it is important to get these countries to reach some form of agreement now.

It ended with him getting a completely standard representation agreement, as all other runners who are not on the national team, but are going to the World Cup, must have.

Is the problem out of this world?

Yes, this case is extraordinary. This solution has been around for a while. “I and everyone else knew that this was possible all along,” Bjervig said.

Since last season, Klæbo chose to leave the national team, but was allowed to appear in the World Cup as long as he had an agreement with the Norwegian Ski Association. The two sides have been negotiating this for a long time, and earlier this week it appeared no solution could be reached.

Tired of pork stamps

In his press release, Klæbo revealed that he expects the parties to agree a deal, and that he can stay on the plateau in Livigno with the knowledge that he will be able to go to the World Cup.

Shortly after his press release, Bjervig confirmed this to NRK.

For Kløbo, it’s important that people don’t think of him as greedy. He is tired of being labeled as someone who focuses on money.

– The negotiations are not about money and enrichment. I have contributed a lot to society. And I also have plans to do so in the future. Community is very important, he said in a press release.

A similar offer made to Dagbladet was also available in May. Klæbo is pleased that things are now moving towards a solution and he can start at Ruka in Finland on November 24.

– This is surprising, even though it was available as an option this spring. “I’ve been clear that I want to go to the World Cup, and I hope that can come true,” Klæbo said of the agreement.

– The case is extraordinary

The agreement means that Klæbo must wear the ski association’s clothing, comply with its terms and commercial rights, and must not use personal logos on the clothing.

What we negotiated with Johannes was a long-term agreement, so he could place a personal ad in his lawsuit. We haven’t achieved that yet, as they had to clarify that today. We didn’t succeed in doing that. So we hope to continue this on Monday, but it’s important for them to clarify this today.

– This offer is available as an alternative between parties by May. However, the parties chose to proceed with an alternative that was a combination of a national team agreement and a simple representation agreement. “Here we never agreed,” said manager Haakon Klæbo in a press release.
