The war in Ukraine continues to escalate. In principle, every military conflict brings destruction and suffering, and today, unfortunately, is another painful proof. While negotiations on a possible ceasefire started in a purely formal manner (bringing no tangible results), Putin’s Russia began attacking civilian targets in Ukraine’s second largest city.
Kharkov (per capita greater than Prague) has been the target of Russian rocket attacks in which, according to Ukrainian sources, dozens of civilians were killed. At the same time, Russia does not attack military targets, but directly into civilian areas. It did not use advanced weapons, but a more modern variant of the famous kite. That is, the missile you are basically aiming and sending is slightly blind.
This barbaric act against civilians may seem like a show of force and an attempt to demoralize the defenders of Ukraine. However, this contrasts slightly with what the Russian army is doing on the battlefield for now. The Russian armed forces, which had a significant advantage over the Ukrainian defenders, lagged behind expectations and failed to break the resistance quickly.
The capital Kyiv, which has been the main target of the Russian invasion for several days, is currently battling the attack. More arms supplies from Europe and North America flowed into Ukraine. Czech supplies of more than 600 million krona have been completely ceded to Ukraine. Volunteers from several Western countries can also help them in the struggle. According to his spokesman, the Czech president also supports allowing some Czechs to do so.
