The EA Sports NHL 24 Championship is back

The National Hockey League has announced that its annual esports initiative – EA SPORTS NHL 24 World Championship – will return to the world of virtual hockey for an unpredictable and action-packed hockey season leading up to the global release of EA SPORTS™ NHL 24 on October 6.

This annual tournament featuring the world’s best EA SPORTS NHL 24 players will open registration in December and competition will begin in January. This season #NHL24WC will feature a number of new features, including the fact that a total of six players (4 North Americans and 2 Europeans) will advance to the World Finals to compete for the World Champion title, championship belt and top prize.

“The addition of the 32 Club Championship last season was a very successful way to increase engagement with the NHL player community,” said Chris Golier, NHL Group Vice President of Business Development and Technology Partnerships. “As we finalize the format for next season, we continue to emphasize fun and inclusion, this tournament should provide a memorable experience for everyone.”

Players and fans can follow all the action on the tournament’s official website http://www.nhl.com/NHL24 and on social networks with a password #NHL24WC. Details are still subject to change.
