The world remembers the victims of the 9/11 attacks. Some still cannot be identified

On Monday, the entire world, and especially the people of the United States, commemorated 22 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and US government buildings on September 11, 2001. At that time, nearly three thousand people lost their lives. Their life. The largest memorial event will traditionally be held at the New York monument, where the famous “twins” stand.

The day that changed the world forever. When a plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at eight hours and 46 minutes on September 11, 2001, no one knew what happened. When the second plane crashed into the South Tower at three minutes past nine, there was no doubt that the world was witnessing an unprecedented attack.

Both World Trade Center buildings then collapsed. Al Qaeda hijacked two more planes that day—one crashing into a Department of Defense building and the other deliberately sent ashore in Pennsylvania by passengers to prevent further carnage and damage.

“We have this memorial, I visit it often. I send my thoughts and prayers to my brother,” said the brother of one of the World Trade Center attack victims, James Giaccone.

Authorities have not been able to identify all the victims. But efforts to find him are still ongoing. Last week, experts in New York announced that they knew the identities of two more victims – a man and a woman with serial numbers 1648 and 1649. Such discoveries had not occurred for almost two years.

Millions of Americans, including politicians, commemorate the anniversary today. US President Joe Biden will spend his money at a military base in Alaska, as he returns home from a visit to Asia.

I always take 9/11 off to remember the victims of the attacks on the Twin Towers, said the witness:
