This is Norway’s biggest sports star earnings in 2021

Just below the NOK 200 separates numbers one and two on our list of the biggest earning sports stars in 2021.

VERY CLOSE ABOVE: Between Magnus Carlsen (tv) and Karsten Warholm at the top of the list, there’s less than NOK 200.

It shows equation numbers for 2021 issued by the Swedish Tax Agency in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

This list is based on VG’s pick of hundreds of Norway’s best athletes from space Christmas 2021.

As of 2020 it is sailor and owner of Bama Kristian Nergaard which tops the listbut the 60-year-old is not included in VG’s list of the top hundred athletes for 2021. As such, Nergaard’s NOK 59.6 million earnings are not included in the overview below, and in his absence, are very close to the top.

Between chess player Magnus Carlsen and athlete Karsten Warholm, there is only NOK 162 income difference for 2021.

Despite revenue down by around NOK 13 million from 2020, the list is topped by chess players Magnus Carlsen. The 32-year-old has revenue of NOK 17.98 million in 2021.

2021 is the year that Magnus Carlsen defends his WC title in classic chess for the first time since 2018, and has successfully done so since. superior victory against Jan Nepomnashchij of Russia.

The WC title went to Carlsen around NOK 12 million in prize money.

Athlete Karsten Warholm in turn running towards a world record and Olympic gold in 2021.

First she set the world record in the 400m hurdles at Bislett in July, before fixing it to an insane 45.94 seconds in Olympic finals in August.
