The giant sand sculpture has been standing right next to the Stone Bridge in Písek since May. Even though Ottawa has blown the sandwork to its heels thanks to the rain, the statues still stand in all their glory. They can be visited 24 hours a day, the gallery is open not closed. In addition, every day at 10 am there is a meeting there with a guide who will guide tourists through the city. Guaranteed daily trips to Písek take place even with a small number of interested parties.

In Blatná they have a hot new product right in the sprawling castle gardens, the alpaca has joined the family here. Cute and tame animals not only decorate here, but also take part in various therapies. The park is of course famous for the deer that are still here. The castle offers several tourist routes and local cafes offer great desserts.

Where to go in Vodňany with children? For example mushrooms… Giant mushrooms. The Zátiší forest park and the Vodňana crane trail are places for fun and picnics. This 440 meter long route refreshes the body and mind. You can also buy ice cream from the Bavorov strawberry factory in Vodňany. Right in Bavorov is Little World, a dollhouse from around the world in a complete collection.

The newest museum in the Czech Republic is located right on the site of the castle in Strakonice. After years of reconstruction, the Central Pootaví Museum received not only new coats, but also exhibits. When you think of Magpies, pipers, Order of Malta and fezzes come to mind. And that’s what you’ll see here. The peace and beauty of the countryside awaits you at the Hoslovice factory, just a few kilometers from Strakonice.

Families with children will find gaming paradise in Sladovná in Písek, Fairy Forge in Selibov or in the Kingdom of Time in Protivín.

How about experiencing the unusual? Have you ever been to a power plant? Just below the highest concrete embankment in Orlík is the entrance to the excursion to Vltava’s largest hydroelectric power station. Sightseeing is held here regularly in the summer, and you can also visit the civil defense period shelters.
