“What a catch.” The baseball player makes a fantastic save costing his health

Watch an acrobatic save by Cody Bellinger of the Chicago Cubs in an MLB baseball game against the Houston Astros. The center fielder climbed behind the ball that was headed for the barrier and really managed to hide it in his glove. However, he was injured when he hit a commercial panel and the hero of the moment had to withdraw from the match.

“What a catch,” the game commentators cheered, but then, like the 35,000 spectators at the stadium in Houston, they were concerned about Bellinger’s health.

The 2019 National League MVP sat on the ground for a long time, then struggled to his feet and limped off.

However, the 2020 World Series winner who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers did not return to play.

“The doctors looked at it and it shouldn’t be anything serious,” Cubs manager David Ross assured after the game.

“We’ll see how he is when he wakes up in the morning. He’s cold now. But all the tests the doctors have done on him, ligaments and all that, seems fine,” Ross added.

Bellinger’s sacrifice was finally in vain, because his team lost to the defending World Series champion 4-6.

The Astros are seventh in the American League with a record of 22 wins, 19 losses, the Cubs with the opposite record are tenth in the National League.
