Head of the Presidential Cabinet, Paweł Szrot, guest of the Morning Talk of Gazeta.pl

One of topicsraised during the Morning Talk of Gazeta.pl, are war reparations. Let’s remember September 1st Jarosaw Kaczyski announced that the Polish government would demand compensation from Germany for the damage caused during World War II. – This is our goal, which is part of the whole concept of restoring normality when it comes to the functioning of the Polish state – said the President of Law and Justice. Politicians inform that Poland’s losses are estimated at more than PLN 6 billion 220 billion.

Paweł Szrot was asked about President Andrzej Duda’s involvement in this. – There was a first talk, the reparations report was submitted to the president. I think this is “a matter where you don’t need to rush,” he said, adding that Duda would “definitely” cooperate on this matter.

– There are meetings, there are talks, I think it will develop further. Please wait for the results. […] This is diplomatic cuisine, and wisdom in diplomacy is a value in itself – he added.

This is a political decision of EU bodies. The president indicated that this money should be transferred to Poland – he said.

– The president did everything he could to get Poland these funds. […] Poland certainly needs this money and it should be given – insists Paweł Szrot.
