Marcin Romanowski: “Repairs from Germany never expire”

Message

The publication of the war reparations report from Germany received wide coverage in the world media. The information was not well received by our western neighbors. Olaf Scholz wrongly believed that the problem of reparations was resolved during the days of the Polish People’s Republic. Berlin can count on the support of the Polish opposition.

The publication of the war reparations report from Germany received wide coverage in the world media. The information was not well received by our western neighbors. Olaf Scholz wrongly believed that the problem of reparations was resolved during the days of the Polish People’s Republic. Berlin can count on the support of the Polish opposition.

“The report on the losses suffered by Poland as a result of German aggression and occupation during World War II 1939-1945” clearly shows the guilt of the Germans and correctly lists the crimes they committed against the Poles. Berlin refers to the 1953 denial of reparations by the government of the Polish People’s Republic. However, the document cannot be considered valid because it violates the binding Constitution at that time. The reparations should be decided by the Council of State, not by the Council of Ministers.

– Contrary to what the opposition and the German media and politicians say, reparations from Germany are never ending. Berlin relies solely on untrue facts, which cannot be supported by evidence. Our western neighbors tried to fake an uncomfortable history for them, and the Polish opposition helped them. Fortunately, there are facts and documents on the Polish side that confirm the veracity of Germany’s application for war compensation – said Marcin Romanowski, Deputy Minister of Justice.

Poland was one of the countries that suffered the most during World War II. Nearly 6 million of our citizens lost their lives. Nearly 200,000 people fled Poland in the act of transporting children across the German border. very young people. Most of the youth never returned to their homeland.
Despite the great loss and suffering of the Polish nation, many opposition politicians believe that reparations are not our fault. During the parliamentary vote on the reparations resolution, 15 MPs abstained, including all members of Szymon Hołownia in 2050. On the other hand, four politicians from the Civic Platform – Klaudia Jachira, Tomasz Aniśko, Małgorzata Tracz and Urszula Zielińska – voted against reparations and Polish interests .

– In terms of reparations, we have to talk to one – Polish – voice. I cannot understand some of the opposition politicians who voted against the reparations resolution. It remains only to ask whose interests they represent. The United Right government is working for the good of Poland and this is our priority. This sets us apart from Donald Tusk’s circle, whose media statements often match German propaganda – added Marcin Romanowski, Deputy Minister of Justice.

As the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Justice stated, it is very important to straighten out the story that is being spread by Germany. They have repeatedly created alternate realities, trying to cover up their own crimes. This happened, among other things, in the case of the spread of the statement “Polish death camp”. Polish politicians must maintain the image of Poland in the world also in historical context,
