Myreze won its first Emmy award last year for the final production of the game Dota 2, which is a game based on a modification of the game Warcraft 3.
“The international 11” launches in autumn 2022 and has a prize pool of 19 million dollars (almost NOK 200 million) and is watched by more than 100 million gaming fans from all over the world.
– When I was 12 years old and sitting in the boys’ bathroom, I could only dream of this, but that I would have had the experience of being part of winning an Emmy Award last year and the following year being nominated for a total of 2, I would have never had thoughts in the world, said Bjørn Myreze, who is general manager of Myreze.
Myreze, among other things, handles virtual production where the company creates a virtual studio.
– For most of my life I have worked with some of the biggest TV productions in Norway. Everything from Thursday night from Nydalen to Typical Norwegian. But that I had the honor of producing the world’s biggest eSports event and also winning an Emmy Award is surreal, says Jørgen Steinheim on Myreze.

Oslo and Singapore
The championship final was held at the Singapore Indoor Arena, while part of the broadcast took place from Oslo.
The broadcast used new technology and, according to a press release from Myreze, a world record was set for the use of the technology in a multi-camera production.
– During the two weeks the championship was broadcast, Myreze was responsible for coverage of the English language feed as well as AR in Singapore. With all this incredible technology working together, this year’s “International 11” will be the benchmark for future virtual productions. eSports will never be the same, Myreze wrote in a press release.
The Emmy Awards are handed out around May 10.
