Jarosław Kaczyński does not rule out increasing the 500+ pre-election profit to 800+
The most important PiS social program, 500 plus, is no longer as beneficial as it was in 2016, when parents received their first payment. Due to inflation, the purchasing power of PLN 500 benefits has decreased to such an extent that today we have to talk about PLN 350 plus. In the United Right camp, there is a belief that profits should be increased. Such a decision could be announced before the 2023 elections. – We have to go to the elections with something. 500 plus is of less and less value and you have to exchange 500 plus for 800 plus. This is highly considered in government, an important PiS politician told us. The plan to increase benefits was confirmed over the weekend by the president of PiS during a meeting with voters in Częstochowa, referring to demographic issues. – Some reassessments are being considered (500 plus – editorial note), but I can’t promise anything at the moment – says Jarosław Kaczyński. – However, it is well known that the same doesn’t work – added the president of PiS, acknowledging that the 500 plus program does not improve fertility rates.
