The dance party in Jakubák will kick off the thirtieth season of the Bolka Polívka Theatre

Fun music and refreshing drinks will also be part of the afternoon “party” at Jakubské náměstí in downtown Brno.

The start of the annual season will influence the continuation of complex construction and technical surveys on the building in Jakubské náměstí, where the Bolka Polívky Theater is still located. But starting in September, he has been a guest at Dělnické dům in Brno-Židenice.

The black comedy Kati directed by Ondřej Sokol is all set to start the new season. Petr Halberstadt will play the title role of His Majesty’s executioner, and Bolek Polívka will play his lifelong rival.

In September, the head of the theater will also present his famous author’s performance DNA, in which his daughter Anna Polívková ably supports him. Entertainment and inspiration will be offered by the brilliant French tragicomedy Rebelky, with Chantal Poullain, whose main theme is the courage to confront life and take it back into their own hands.

Other acting stars will also visit Dělnické’s dom in September. Marek Adamczyk with Nela Boudová will entertain in the comedy Hledám ženu, starting soon. Patrik Děrgel and David Gránský were inspired by the famous film Někdo tot rad horké in the comedy Damy vpřed! And Milan Šteindler will face the loss of a loved one and difficult decisions about how to live in the production After Life, directed by Jan Hřebejk.
