The smallest Hyundai has been modernized – News

While many automakers in Europe have abandoned the less profitable A-segment, Hyundai still offers the i10 and has even prepared an upgrade.

From the outside, the visible change is the new honeycomb-shaped LED daytime running lights that replace the round segments on the standard version. A sports version of the N Line is still offered, in which case the visual changes are limited to a new wheel design and the signature lightweight taillights.

Inside, the Koreans used new materials and ambient lighting. Four different interior color combinations will be available. The classic black interior combines black cloth upholstery with a monochrome instrument panel. The gray interior, available in higher trim levels, will offer light gray seat upholstery with an instrument panel that is black on top and gray on the bottom.

New is the Purple Accent color package, which offers tartan upholstery with purple vertical stripes and other purple details, be it stitching or ventilation.

The novelty now has a standard 4.2-inch LCD display on the instrument panel, USB Type-C inputs on the front and rear, a second-generation eCall system for emergency calls and wireless updating for map data.

Infotainment continues to include an integrated 8-inch touchscreen, a multimedia and navigation system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, or a wireless charger.

Driving assistant capabilities have also been expanded. Autonomous emergency braking with special modes for city and out-of-town driving can recognize not only vehicles or pedestrians, but also cyclists in the new version.

The engine will continue to be powered by a three-liter turbocharged engine, also in an atmospheric version, as well as a twelve-cylinder four.

The start of production of the new i10 model at the Hyundai plant in Izmit, Turkey is planned for April 2023. The first cars will appear on European roads in the second half of this year.
