In mid-November, a group of PiS MPs formed a parliamentary team to address Poland’s reparations from Germany and estimate the amount of compensation Russia should pay for damage caused during World War II.

The first substantive meeting of the team will take place on Wednesday, and we invite the director of the Institute of War Losses, Konrad Wnęk, along with a team of experts who prepared a report on the losses caused by Germany. The Sejm of the Republic of Poland stated that Poland had not received appropriate financial compensation and compensation for the material and intangible losses suffered by the Polish state during World War II as a result of the aggression of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. January 3 this year the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the German Foreign Ministry had responded to the note. According to the German government, the issue of reparations and compensation for war losses remains closed, and the German government has no intention of entering into negotiations on this issue.
