31 of the 37 charges relate to withholding information about state defense and security, according to CNN.

Trump has denied all wrongdoing, and after a court hearing in Florida last week, he lashed out at the Biden administration. Trump believes they have indicted him on trumped-up charges and meddling in the election campaign.

The witch hunt has been the tone of Trump’s review of the indictment.

One of Trump’s former close associates, former attorney general Bill Barr, snorted his version of Trump in a new interview with CBS.

– He provoked this whole matter himself, said Barr.

– Of course, he may have been the target of a witch hunt in the past, but that doesn’t explain that he himself has flaws and engages in reckless behavior. This sometimes leads to disastrous situations, which are highly damaging and detrimental to any political goals associated with them. In this case, it was solely his fault, said Barr

– He has no right to these documents. The authorities tried for over a year, quietly and respectfully, to get them back, which was important they did. And he just threw them.

Trump himself has stated that Barr himself knew the charges were absurd, which he himself flatly denied. Instead, he believes the authorities have a strong case.

Barr was also asked directly if he believed Trump lied to the Justice Department.

Then he answered like this:

– Do I personally believe? Yes, I am willing.

The federal litigation against Trump could drag on for a long time, and it is far from certain that there will be a decision before his election campaign to become president in 2024 goes well.

Last November, it was finally confirmed that the 76-year-old would run for the Republican Party in 2024, after he was knocked out of the White House in 2020.

William Barr is stepping down as Attorney General in the Trump administration on Christmas Eve 2020.
