It all started on election night. Then Høyre’s Kenny Rettore and other party leaders signed an agreement with Fremskrittspartiet, wrote Stavanger Aftenblad.

There the mayor’s post was promised to Frps Pål Morten Borgli in return for political cooperation. The only problem is that in the Conservative Party, such an agreement would have to be approved by the party’s new local council group.

The two parties also have different understandings of this agreement:

  • FRP understands it as a binding agreement.
  • It is true that it was an agreement of intent.

On Wednesday evening, it became clear that the Conservative Party’s new city council group had rejected the agreement, and shortly afterwards the Frp group rejected the alternative with Rettore as mayor.

As a result, negotiations are now taking place between the Conservative Party, Labor Party, Christian People’s Party and Liberal Party. The Progress Party apparently decided to become the opposition, he wrote back knife.

In the last four years, there has been an unusual coalition in Sandnes politics: Labor Mayor Stanley Wirak has governed together with Frp, Center Party, SV, Rødt and People’s Action against more deaths.
