This built political unrest in Sweden. Some said they would vote against Johansson in a vote of confidence scheduled to be held at the Riksdag next Tuesday.

Swedish Democrats who will promote a no-confidence vote against Justice and Home Affairs Minister Morgan Johansson because they believe he did a bad job.

– We have come to the point that the most important criminal policy act is Morgan Johansson’s early retirement, said SD group leader Henrik Vinge, who criticized Johansson for tackling criminal gangs.

Moderates, Christian Democrats and Liberals also said they would vote to remove Johansson. The Center Party has not yet taken a stand on this issue.

– Unheard of

But if Johansson had to leave, the entire government would resign, said Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson of the Social Democrats.

– In Sweden, we have a collective decision refusal. If you dismiss a minister because of a political decision, then you dismiss the entire government. It is of course, Andersson said at a news conference on Thursday.

– We are now three months before the regular elections, and there is a war going on in our area. We are in a very sensitive situation for our NATO application. This is really irresponsible. That’s unheard of, Anderson said.

Missing one voice

A no-confidence vote will be held Tuesday at 12. To oust Justice and Home Affairs Minister Johansson, it takes at least half of the 349 Riksdag members to vote in favor.

The four parties, which have now said they will vote no confidence, have a total of 174 seats. Thus, one vote was lost to be able to overthrow the minister.

Johansson himself has replied that SD and far-right parties speak loudly and engage in personal attacks. He believes that the far right has no better answer on how to reduce criminal gang recruitment.
